OUR TRAVEL APPROVAL IS HERE!!!!

After first seeing Katie's pictures on the IAAP website nine months ago to the day, we finally have our travel approval from China!!!! God is good!!! We've waited longer than mosts since our group of four families got misplaced and lost about two months. Oh well that's behind us and we're moving forward.

The agency is working on setting up the consultate appointment for May 17. Once confirmed, all travel arrangements will be made and we will leave the states May 5 to head to Seoul to spend a day with C.J. and his family. We will need to be in Beijing on May 7. Hoping to get Katie on May 10 and then will leave Guangzhou on May 19. YIPPEE!!!!

LOA FINALLY ARRIVED

Well on Monday, March 5, 2007 we finally received the e-mail that we've been waiting for. The missing Letter of Acceptance (the new form) finally arrived on our waiting day #144. The agency overnighted it and all we had to do was check the box stating we still wanted to adopt Zhou FengMeng (Katie), date and sign it and back to the agency it went. They sent it back to China on Wednesday, March 7. We were able to track the dhl package all the way to China. It was back at the China Center of Adoption Affairs office on Monday, March 12. Now we're just praying that they will send our travel approval quickly so we can get to China before the big trade fair which is the last two weeks in April. You can still travel then but it is more expensive and harder to find a hotel.
